Almost two weeeeeeeeks


Yup DOugie wogie has almost been gone two weeks and although I am missing him, I've been busy doing a promotion for sourz to get too bored and lonely. Mind you, this week I'm off college and no work. But my gals Amanda and eils are planning a trip to octopussy ARCHES on wednesday night. So I figured I'll join them ;)

Tonight I'm going to do some waxing.


So last week I was busy almost every night doing the sourz ZING promotion, which was a lot of fun as I got to draw on peoples faces for the whole night and give away free booze - Who doesn't love some1 who gives away free booze!!

Mum and Dad are currently in L.A visitng my aunt, I had been invited but the docs said the plane journey was very much NOT a good idea. So not wanting to risk my lung popping again, I declined my dads nice offer. Instead they have got me a brand new sparkling pink Ipod!! YAY!


I met some amazing folk last week doing the sourz promo, who were so lovely and nice and amazed that I'm living with CF, but its good to show people that even though things may be tough it's worth smiling through it. And god knows i dont have it tough in comparison. I have all you guys and my lovely boyf and my amazing family.


Talking of families Julie left to go back to work today, after 5 weeks here. I've got used to knowing she is nearby and its been lovely to know if I needed someone she was there. But hopefully she will be out the army next Xmas and will be living here.

Day Two post op

On day two post op Friday I got myself up out a chair and went to move my drains and then had myself a little panic attack. I think the drains reminded me of my lung collapse and I felt like the air was vanishing from me. The nurse walked in and sat with me whilst I apologised and started to breathe better again. The physio came in and got me up on my feet marching on the spot, nice and slow and then lifting my leg a bit further then I had another wee panic attack. The physio said I’ve been through a lot and how well I was doing but I’m just so aware that I have such an amazing opportunity with these lungs that I don’t want to ruin in any way. Day three Saturday My two lower chest drains were removed today, nice to not have any drains, now it’s just two to go. Dougie arrived down on Saturday. I had said there was no use as he wouldn’t be able to get in but he wanted to just come down and wave from the window. He also brought me down my phone and some stuff from the house. Dad had gone

When life gives you lemons

I'm not someone who dwels in self pity, I always am very aware that I am very fortunate for my position , where many have nit been so fortunate But lately life has been dealing me a shit loads of lemons, like huge sour fuckers one after the other , and I'm feeling pathetic as fuck with it. I was admitted to hospital on Saturday because my kidney function was off and my creatine levels were a bit high at 250. I was phoned on Friday but I had a wedding in inverurie on Saturday and they said it could wait. I was put on iv fluids, to help hydrate them. Turns out it didn't help too much so I was discharged on the wednesday. UNFORTUNATELY BY the Thursday evening my stomach was so bloated that I was unable to breathe right and we made the call with help from my sister to go to the hospital. My amazing team on 7d knew that it just wasn't like me to be in this amount of pain and after xray, ct and a dose of morphine we got a huge ng tube down and the air rushed up.

Week twelve is about to begin

I hope this blog is coming to an end soon, what I mean is that I hope my time in hospital for just now is almost over and I won't have to try and update people on what's been happening. I apologise for the terrible spelling and grammar throughout this blog but my main priorities were to try and document what was happening in the hope that other folk going through shit would know it gets better. The changes my body has had to cope with over the past three months has been phenomenal, that if still works boggles my mind and that I am still standing here well . . . that was always going to be the case. I definitely didn't do this blog to gain sympathy or even to make people think I'm so brave or inspirational. I've states many time before in previous posts that these kind if words almost make me heave.
