Day 18 post op

Saturday Day 18: I woke at 8am and did my drugs and colomycin before heading back to bed and I slept in till 10.30am. I was so happy to be still in bed at such a late time, it’s the best sleep I’ve had ion ages. We watched another wire and stayed in bed for most of the day. Then Doug’s jumped over to lie beside me and knocked my knee where it dislocated. I lay for about 3 minutes trying to put it back in whilst trying to not pass out. It eventually went back in but Doug wanted to call the hospital. Mum is coming to join me this week as I can’t stay in the flat myself. We have a clinic appointment on Tuesday morning, so mum arrived about 2pm today and we had some lunch. At 3.30pm Doug’s and I went for a walk and braved the Newcastle winds and rain. As we walked Dougie said he hadn’t ever walked as fast for as long with me before We took a walk around the park and pond and back to the flat but it was a 50minute walk and my legs were killing me. July 2017

Most of you know for months now I haven't been well. I returned from a holiday in New York filled with an excess of 5 lbs of fluid, and when I went to hospital this doubles to ten as my team tries to work out what was happening. My kidneys were strained , my liver was reacting badly , I was fatigued and well we didn't really have answers. We moved about on fluid tablets which  got rid of the fluid I was sent home and was back up in a week severely dehydrated. There has been so many guesses, fumbles, tests, blood tests out my ears that my veins have began collapsing and still we never seemed to come close to an aanswer. this instagram is my journey. I'll be hashtagging stuff from the past it's 5am the now Andi don't have the strength to go over everything but let's just say There have been moments where I'm not sure if my story is coming to an end or not. and I've told my husband that if that were the case I don't want him to let anyone say ...

Its been a wee while, with all my best intentions somtimes it's hard to know where to start on this diary. But here goes and sorry if its a long one. I'm currently undergoing pre pre assessment for a transplant. So that means going to hspital(trying to find a friggin space in the car park) and getting CT scans, xrays, bloods, one density, ultra sounds and next week lung function. Every wee appointment just makes me more aware of the doors that may be opening or possibly shutting on me. The prospect of having no holiday for a while is horrible, especially with the hope that SH and I were going to go away. He has booked up for a 5week holiday in america his good friend from home is going for 13months and he is going to join him and another two great guys who I met this weekend on a trip to aberdeen. It was their leaving party and they are all brilliant dudes so I know he will have an amazing time. I hate using the word 'deserves' because I dont actually believe anyone...
